Potential letter to the editor...

It seems as though we are in dire need of making it officially ‘Australian’ to discriminate against those who we deem to be ‘Un-Australian’. Just recently, I witnessed the bouncers at a particular celestial bar in George Street finding great joy in overtly discriminating against those individuals wishing to enter that were ‘Asian’, whilst the ‘Anglos’ were welcomed with open arms. Might I mention that those bouncers were not ‘Anglo’ themselves? Similarly, a couple of months ago my partner was in the bathroom at Central railway station, when an employee of ‘non-Anglo’ origin walked up to an Aboriginal woman washing her hands, demanding she turn of the tap as she was wasting water. When the woman refused, the employee aggressively reached across her and proceeded to turn it off herself, knocking the woman’s bag to the ground. This occurred twice more before my partner stated that she too washing her hands and had been doing so much longer. The employee obscenely abused my partner for getting involved and told her that this was none of her business. The confrontation continued as the employee and woman fought over the tap. Finally my partner asked that management be called. The story was explained and an official warning was issued to the Aboriginal woman and my partner, the reason being that they had caused a public disturbance. If only the government would bring back the white Australia policy, that way the reason could have simply read- ‘Un-Australian’.

My drunk attempt at birthday poems

Erin was a very drunk girl,
who at some time in the night was to hurl,
she got really drunk,
as drunk as a spunk,
and realised her pubes had a curl.
it was an abc,
a big travesty,
her huge outie flaps,
together they could clap,
said Erin, her majesty.

Erin's drunk attempt at responding to her brithday poems

They hosted a birtday party,
for my 22nd birthday party,
like a drunk cunt on ecstasy,
i thanked them all very much.

Well Done!

the words don't work these days.
i've already pressed delete about a million times.
i hate the lack of degrees of separation in that place.
why don'y you/I realise?
boredom is so... here.
it seeps out of the walls in this tower where alarms sound to signify panic.
still nobody does.

this is waiting.

To the person who either called me and pretended they had found my number on the back of a toilet door at central, or actually worte my name and number on the back of a toilet door at central...

Not really funny at all, kind of creepy. If it was you, it would be nice to have an apology.

I'm definitely liking my daily walk through the concourse to class these days. I know enough people that I can say 'heya' at least 2 times, and conduct a small conversation 3 times or more, all before 10am. It's great!

I'm also liking my mid semester plans... spending 2 months in the snow. Did i mention it's paid!

Mostly, I am appreciating Newcastle more than i have since moving to Sydney. Thanks go to MUM and the ORI and TIA and BEL and JES. All three letters all three times awesome!
Michelle, the random at the pub...not so awesome, but definitely amusing.

I hate it when people introduce themselves to you, knowing they have met you before (three times).

edit. knowing they have been in bed with the same person that you have...and made out, technically meaning they had not only met you but also made out.

happy valentines day.
we broke up (again) it sounds ridiculously pathetic, but this time it's for good.

It's official, I did make the most awesome mix cd in the world. Inclusive of lyrics such as,
"I would walk 500 miles" and
"I wanna get physical" and
"What's your take on Casavettes?" and

My head got all messy, slightly impossible without hair, i know, but it did! So i'm staying out of the wind today.

Does anyone else think Jeff Buckley is not as good as his fans are led to believe?
And, does think that his family should stop releasing different versions of boxed sets of 'grace'?

Wednesday night was impressive.
The Dawn Collective did Ziggy proud, with a wonderful rendition of Space Odyssey.
On a less impressive note.
I'm all packed up with nowhere to go.

Most impressive note yet.
Interviewing candidates to live with Orna.
#1- Wayne, a camp as they come English backpacker, who announced in his most gutter accent, "Are you gay orna? Because you're really pretty...(to me) No offence, i guess you are too, but it's just that i've never met a lipstick lesbian before!"

#2- Dawn, another English backpacker, personality exactly like Dawn from 'the office'. She had an obsession with the fan in the bathroom. So much so, that she came over again, with friends, to test it out.

#3- Suzanna, currently lives with 8 others in a share house in Stanmore. Is moving out because she's allergic to cigarette smoke. Orna told her she smokes, but she came over anyway. After a tour of the house Suzanna said, "NO!" Apparently she wouldn't have enough space. (Only 3 people live here...?)

#4- Nathan, not a talker, just a reader. Took 5 hours to finish a word.

Who would you choose?
